I am, by nature, given to introspection, especially as each December 31st rolls around. It is no different this year. I always can hardly believe how quickly the year has gone. Many of us may be looking in anticipation for the next twelve months. Perhaps you will reach a milestone that you have waited for with longing like a graduation or a wedding or the birth of a new baby.
2011 was not an easy year to live through for me. Maybe you feel the same way. When we belong to Jesus Christ, we always can live with hope, no matter what our circumstances may be. Join me as I share a story about a little girl who was an example to someone much older than she in the face of danger. Her trust is something we can also cling to.
Happy New Year, my friends! And may God’s favor be poured out on your lives lavishly!
But now, this is what the LORD says—
he who created you, O Jacob,
he who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.” Isaiah 43:1
