One of the greatest struggles I believe we wrestle through is one of the most difficult commands Jesus Christ gave us regarding those who have hurt us:
For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Matthew 6:14-15
That doesn’t seem fair when they remain unbothered by their cruelty toward me, when they instigated the hurt, when they continue to not want healing or reconciliation.
My huge question of the Lord, honestly, has been:
Why should I forgive???
