I probably read something of Charles Spurgeon almost everyday. This man was called the Prince of Preachers and was a pastor of a megachurch in England in the mid nineteenth century long before the word megachurch was known. He suffered greatly with health and depression issues throughout his forty year ministry. I have rarely found in one person such sound theology and such a tender, empathetic heart. If you are not familiar with the sermons of this great man of God, please visit www.spurgeon.org and read some of his sermons. They are profound and timeless in their truth and ability to speak to our problems today as when they were first preached by him. Charles Spurgeon is a man I greatly look forward to meeting in heaven one day.
